This past year has been a great year for Section 7. We increased our active player count from 60 to over 100, opened a new platoon, the Forward Observer role, and Medical Section. We have high points and low points, but Section 7 is at the highest point it's ever been. This coming new year promises to be the unit's best one yet; with kickass missions, good leadership, and a growing company of friends. So from everyone in Section 7, Happy New Year's Day, and here's to many more!
Aut inveniam viam aut faciam
Welcome all new Section 7 members!! We have received many new recruits this past month filling our roster very quickly. Second platoon is already almost full due to SO Koshu's recruitment. It's always great to see an Arma 3 community thriving. Anyways, as most of you all already know we have gotten a new box located in Canada to support our big player base for Sunday Operations. The three servers are:
With the first operation already in the history books, we look forward into a very interesting campaign. This marks the first campaign that of Section 7 that is 100% scripted. This means that there is no Zeus that is planing your demise. You may also notice that the AI are different once again. For this campaign, we are using Gaia instead of VCOM to facillitate the scripts. If you have any thoughts on the campaign or any suggestions, the Operations Team would love to hear them.
If you have an idea for a campaign and want to find out more information on how to...
Just as a quick note, VSM has removed their mods from the Steam Workshop which has effectively deleted it from your computer. Because of this sudden change, VSM has also been removed from the mod pack. We are hoping that VSM will make a come back in their near future.
Be aware that you may have VSM items in your load outs. Make sure you update these kits before the next operation. Remember, we don't want to be sitting around while you play dress up.
We have come to the end of another month here at Section 7. I wanted to give you guys some updates on various things.
The Operations Team is still ironing our kinks in the workflow. Bare with us as we improve. As a short introduction to the Operations Team, we are a small council-like team where they oversee everything that occurs during any operation. If your interested in being a Zeus, let any Operations Team member know and they will get you the information you need.
If you have ideas for content that you would like to be published to the website, please let Sneaky Sniper know....
North Korea has begun the war that no one wanted. Seoul had already fallen and Bucheon was next on the menu. Section 7 was called to perform a high risk operation to recover an US Ambassador and other VIPs in front of an invading North Korean Army. Great job to everyone who participated yesterday. We have finally reached the half way point in our story. The next two weeks are sure to be the most action packed with a lot at stake. Stay Frosty!
Note: the next map is Winter Chernarus. On the TeamSpeak, go to the Current Operation Detail channel and instructions on h...
Great job everyone yesterday! It was amazing to watch everyone react so quickly to contact with it being within 200 meters from you. That operation showed just how well everyone is trained. I have to applaud PSO Psybain for the great Operation Order as well as the well created actual Operation Order. Next week, we bring the fight to them!
A clip from the news
Peace talks have broken down after a savage attack was made by the People's Army on the South Korean soil. The People's Army attack was on an airbase near the...
Spartan 2 has been flying through every wall they come across in their platoon wide training. They have flown through convoy training with flying colors and continue to show their expertise in all recent operations with it. This week marks the week of 4 for Air Assault/Airborne training. As the teams hone their skills, they have formed a powerful team that is sure to lead Section 7 into more difficult situations.
Great Job Spartan 2!
Spartan 2 training is 7 PM EDT every Wednesday and is open to both Spartan 1 and 2.
Alright well first to start off i want to thank everyone for coming out to play week after week. We try to make this as fun as possible and i think we have a great mix of being tactical and not taking our selves to seriously. I have a few shutouts for Klienpo and Named_Dude for working to clear up our company net clutter. We hope to role out a new commo system that will ensure the net is clear and support is as lethal as can be.
We have made a huge change in S7 this last week, we are now operating with 6 total squads 3 per platoon. leading up 1-3 will be Zero and leading 2-3 will be St...
