A Three-Way With Pitrucha (01/14/2023)
Section 7 finds itself on the southeastern peninsula of Altis - this time fighting a three-sided war between the AAF greenbacks and a naval invasion by the AFRF. Scrambling for their place in the carnage, Section 7's plan was three-fold: locate a downed C-130 in the area and rescue its pilot, secure and evacuate 30 IDAP aid workers in the AO, and finally seize the southernmost airfield from OPFOR and INDFOR forces.
The primary air assault into the peninsula occurred in the middle of a roiling skirmish between the greenbacks and Russian forces. Spartan 2 proceeded to the AFRF-controlled port of Trachia, before continuing to the town of Feres and liberating the first aid workers and capturing the local radio center. Spartan 1 dismounted in the vicinity of Panagia and secured the 5 VIPs held there. Attempting an air assault NW of Selakano, the platoon was forced to land short of its LZ after a helicopter was forced to the ground by a Russian SAM.
After rescuing the last civilians there, the platoons attacked the airfield from the south and north before exfiltrating aboard 5 blackhawks.
